During the month of May, for every new "Like" we receive on Facebook, Hillside will donate $2 in support of the Georgina Animal Shelter. All funds raised will go towards helping ill and injured animals in need while they wait to find their forever home.

Please note that Hillside will also be accepting washed blankets and pet beds, leashes and collars for donation to Georgina's shelter animals.

Christmas Toy & Calendar Fundraiser

December, 2014


Hillside is selling adorable Christmas toys for your furry loved ones. 2015 calendars will also be available featuring heartwarming pictures and stories of Georgina Animals Shelter's adoptees.  All procedes will be donated to the Georgina Animal Shelter.

Georgina Animal Control & Adoption Centre is the facility which provides shelter to all cats and dogs found running at large within the municipal borders of Georgina, East Gwillimbury, Whitchurch Stouffville and Newmarket. Animals not claimed by an owner are assessed, then placed up for adoption if deemed adoptable.


Farley Month 

October, 2014

Farley Foundation helping low-income pet owners when their beloved pets are sick or injured. Fundraise for Farley Month, held in October, is the foundation's biggest fundraising event. Throughout the month-long campaign, veterinary clinics across Ontario hold special events and fundraisers in honour of people and pets and the Farley Foundation. Farley Volunteering With St. John's Ambulance Therapy Dogs 

Dr. Rafman and her toy poodle Rory, have volunteered with this wonderful organization for the last 30 years. Initially, her visits were to nursing homes and for the last 12 years, her visits are to a developementally-handicapped group run by by York South Association for Community Living. A true and special bond has developed between the lovely ladies in this
